Eat England, Corporate Responsibility Consultants passionate about good food, produced and grown sustainably, ethically and profitably.
We source great food, minimise environmental impacts and make food even more enjoyable for all concerned.

The Eat England team believe governments, industry and civic society must work together to reduce impacts on the planet by at 60% or even 80 or 90% - it's great to see how many of our countries leaders now believe this. Unfortunately we are no where near achieving this and we are nearly all increasing our impacts - with the exception of Cubans!!

What would happen if everyone on the planet consumed like the average Brit?
These three cherry globes represent just that, the number of planets needed to produce the require resources.
If you're Australian or American add another two.

We are passionate about helping your operation become more sustainable and understand how each business needs are different, it's not just about single issues, it's about delivering the whole package - so many people forget how being financially sustainable, means you can afford to be environmentally and socially sustainable. That's why you'll keep hearing us talk about our 4P's:

Planet, People, Profit & Passion!

Health is important, so is value for money, but if you don't enjoy it why carry on?

Company activity

Presently we are working on a number of projects including:

Helping to launch a great vegetarian restaurant concept in London and New York, where they really will be counting the carbon.

Advising a number of community food groups in and around London.

Mentoring managers at a new cooperative supermarket - soon to be documented by Channel 4.

Helping promote sustainabilty at this years Real Food Festival in London in May,

Advising and assessing on the Big Lotteries "Local Food" project.

Between all that we canvas government, industry, academia and any one who'll come on board for a more affordable way to count the carbon cost across in food and farming - and then to start looking at water, phosphorus, land use, and ____?

Planet, People, Profit and Passion

Eat England's had some great help with this so far, and would like to thank colleagues and friends at: The Carbon Trust, World Resources Institute, DEFRA's team working on PAS2050, Sustain Ltd., and Best Foot Forward. Local Food, Acorn House, Zetter Hotel, Hazeldene Organic Farm, Grove Farm, North Aston Farms,  Season's Coffee Shop and The Drawing Rooms for making it a great year.

Nearly forgot: New Covent Garden Market (Authority & Tenants), all the food groups across the South East, Fresh Management, Mad For Food, SOL, Provenance, East Anglian Food Links and the great team at Otarian in London, New York and Perth.

Where we've come from

Our experience covers all aspects of the  food chain:

From farm to the plate to the compost heap;

We've worked on and with farms across the globe; even hand milked a Jersey cow in the City of London;

Guided some great food manufacturers in their factories and their marketing departments;

Spent time working in and with retailers large and small;

Shared ideas with eco-restaurants and fast food chains;

Researched and worked on packaging and with those who handle the waste;

We like to think we understand the food chain and how it works as well as anyone (if not better);

We've worked with government bodies large and small, one man bands to transnational's, community groups and charities - we believe everyone should  must be involved, they need to understand food and its impacts and most of all enjoy it.

Having lived food and farming industry for well over 25 years, Tom has also completed an MSc in Food Policy studying the environmental and cultural impacts of our food systems with Prof. Tim Lang and Prof. Martin Caraher in late 2007 and back in the 1980's spent 3 years at Harper Adams University College study agriculture.

We believe in practical, science based arguments: FACTS NOT OPINIONS
